Now that the weather in Canada is getting sunnier, I apply sunscreen daily. This will be my second summer using ATTITUDE’s “Sensitive Skin SPF 30.” I have truly sensitive skin and often break out from most sunscreens. However, this product has not caused any acne so far—yay! I will say that it feels a bit greasy, especially on my face, but I tend to have slightly oily skin anyway.

I like that this sunscreen comes in a plastic-free container, and I find it easy to use. To apply it, I simply push the product up from the base of the tube. I keep my fingers on the product while applying it so it doesn’t slide back down. It glides on smoothly, and its white color helps me see exactly where I’ve applied it. I do need to rub it in a bit more to remove the white residue. This feature works especially well for my son because I can clearly see where he has and hasn’t applied it.

I also love that this sunscreen is scentless. Spray sunscreens often smell overpowering and almost “toxic” to me. While this mineral sunscreen takes a bit longer to apply than sprays, it’s much less likely to get into your eyes—which matters for both kids and adults. Because it has little to no odour, I can easily apply it indoors.

A few additional notes: store the sunscreen in a cool place, as it can melt in heat; apply it 15 minutes before sun exposure; and reapply every two hours.

Overall, I’m happy with this mineral sunscreen. I find it easy to use and convenient for travel thanks to its compact size and solid container. I also feel good knowing it’s EWG Verified and comes in a biodegradable tube. I plan to keep using it this summer.
