My name is Joanna and I am the owner of thegreeneryear.ca. I am a mom, wife, and entrepreneur. I grew up in rural Ontario and became interested in the environment from a young age. I have always loved nature and spending time outside. My dad and I often picked up litter together, which taught me how to respect and care for my surroundings.

I hope to pass this passion onto my son and to instill the desire to care for and to protect our planet. As you know, climate change is affecting our Earth in serious ways and it can feel overwhelming and, at times, hopeless. My wish is that if we all adopt more environmentally friendly lifestyles and habits, we can positively contribute to the preservation and rejuvenation of our natural environment. There is definitely more power in numbers and what seems like a small and insignificant act, can grow into something truly impactful.
